Mtre. Francis Robitaille began his studies with a Paralegal Diploma at O’Sullivan College in Montreal. While doing an internship with Mtre. Paul Péladeau, notary in Brossard, Mtre. Robitaille was charmed by the notarial profession. Thus he continued his academic career with a Law degree (LL.L) at the University of Ottawa in 2016 and a Master in Law (LL.M) from the same establishment in 2017.
While completing his Master’s degree, Mtre. Robitaille had the opportunity to write a research paper under Mariève Lacroix’s supervision . Entitled « L’interprétation par les tribunaux québécois de l’adverbe « notamment » dans l’article 422 du Code civil du Québec concernant le partage inégal du patrimoine familial », it represented the University of Ottawa at the Chaire du notariat’s prestigious essay competition. Writing his research paper allowed Mtre. Robitaille to maintain his passion for family law until the end of his university education.
After working several summers for Péladeau Brossard Notary, a legal firm based in Brossard, Mtre. Robitaille decided to settle in the region and joined our team at the beginning of 2017. It is among us that Mtre. Robitaille completed his internship for the Chambre des Notaires in the fall of 2017.
